Last month, Tiffany (my fabulous associate photographer) and I photographed one very cool event. Natalie’s Sweet 16 was not your typical party. The celebration was a grand masquerade theme complete with beautiful golden masques for each guests, amazing choreographed dancing (put together and performed by the birthday girl herself), a flip book photo center, the best oreo cream cheese cupcakes I think I have ever tasted centered around an elegant masquerade themed cake, and a teenage finger food bar that had been classed up to new heights. Really, that mac n’ cheese bar looked so sophisticated… and totally was to die for.
The party also had a super cool candy buffet put together by the evenings amazing event planner Andria (http://infinite-events.net/candybuffets) along with a short film made especially to preface the birthday girl’s entrance produced and filmed by Artistic Wedding Films. And while I’m talking about fabulous vendors that helped to make this event spectacular, can I also take this opportunity to let you know what a difference great lighting can make at your party or wedding? Good up-lighting is so important in setting the right ambiance (and getting great images)! Thanks to Groove Events, Natalie’s celebration had just that!
I very much enjoyed working with this wonderful family for the evening. Natalie and her parents were so easy going and excited about the festivities. I’m pretty sure that Natalie’s parents had just as much fun as the birthday girl herself as you will see below! Such great people! Here are some of the details from the evening. Brace yourselves… its a long one!
While Andria and her amazingly talented crew from Infinte Events were busy getting all of the gorgeous details ready for the party to begin, Natalie was at home getting ready with her family and friends!
And then the party began! The evening started off with a mini movie created by the very talented Mike and his crew over at Artistic Wedding Films, staring Natalie and her court. The guests were so entertained by this very clever preface to Natalie’s big entrance. After the film, Natalie and her court performed one of their three rehearsed dances, which the birythday girl choreographed herself. Such talent at just 16!!
Thanks again for allowing me to capture your special evening Natalie! You are one very beautiful and talented girl… I can’t wait to see where your future takes you!
