Heather & Matt are Married! | Whaling Museum New Bedford Ma

On the Saturday of Matt and Heathers wedding, I woke up to see rain pounding on my window. That is just never a site that a bride wants to see on the day of their wedding. I immediately got in touch with Heather (who is one of the sweetest brides I’ve ever worked with) and told her to make sure they had enough umbrellas for everyone in the bridal party because rain or shine, we were going to get some amazing shots! And we did just that! Heather and Matt married in downtown New Bedford at the Roch-Jones Duff house under a beautiful tent with drizzles of rain bringing in a perfect breeze. As soon as their ceremony ended we headed out to catch the couple on the grounds near the Duff house’s beautiful gardens… the rain had stopped! And it held off just long enough for us to capture some of my favorite wedding shots to date on the streets of downtown New Bedford. And then, just as we were about to head inside for cocktail hour, the rain started back… just in enough time for us all to pop open and actually use those umbrellas. 🙂 Really, the entire scenario was just perfect.

Heather and Matt had their reception at the Whaling Museam. The Whaling Museam is just plain cool…. really really cool. I loved so much about this wedding!
