My amazing little man Sam,

Life is changing slowly for you and you are soon going to become a big brother. I don’t know that you completely understand all that this entails yet (infact, I’m quite sure you don’t!) but you seem so excited! You often ask me if you can hug the baby as I’m tucking you into bed at night and sometimes walk around the house with your very own copy of the latest sonogram picture, showing whoever is around where “your baby’s” head and body is. 🙂 For the past few months, you have been insisting that the baby in mommy’s belly is a girl. BABY BROTHER!!!
 I couldn’t be more excited that we are going to be giving you a little guy to be your accomplice in crime, your partner in play, and most importantly your bestest buddy. You were immidiately excited when we gave you the news. You started talking about all of the things you plan to do with your little brother. You are quite excited to play legos and teach him to roar like dinosaurs and crocodiles (all your words not mine), to play shoot guns together, to paint with him, and to tickle him! 🙂 You bring our hearts such joy and we cannot wait to see the two of you together for the first time. You are an amazing little boy. I am so confident that you are going to be an incredible big brother!
