They are back! Our Holiday Mini Session announcement is here by popular demand! Whether you are looking for a way to get a few great family photos for the season without paying a full session price or just looking for a way to get in on one more opportunity to capture your little one before I hit maternity leave later this year, this is your big chance!

Mini sessions this year will take place at the FABULOUS Coggeshall Farm Museum in Bristol RI (visit there website here)!! They are located right near Colt State Park and have gorgeous shade all day long to allow for us to get amazing images no matter what time of day you select for your session. Mini Sessions will take place in the barnyard area, amidst the hens, chickens and beautiful rustic barns and animal coups. Its a really fun spot, especially for little ones! We are so excited to hang out and revisit with so many of our amazing past clients and make some new friends if this is your first time working with us!

Now for the logistics…Here’s how a mini session works. There are some very important restrictions that you must be aware of before booking due to the nature of this type of session! Please do not book without checking out the information below!

• There will be multiple families involved on October 19th, the day of mini sessions. Each time slot will be 20 minutes long, just like years past. Please understand, this is NOT the same as a full session. Mini sessions are great for family refresher pictures of any member or members of your family (babies should be at least 6 months and up if we are photographing them alone). While a normal family session typically provides around 30 digital images, this type of session is only meant to provide 12-15! Please be sure that you understand the nature of the session before booking!
• There will be no outfit changes allowed due to time restraints
• Please, arrive 10-15 minutes EARLY for your session. The ride through Bristol to the farm is a beautiful one, but it is often congested with stop and go traffic on beautiful fall Saturdays. I cannot guarantee your GPS is calculating in the traffic at the time of your session. If you are late, I cannot extend your session into someone else’s paid timeslot. Please be on time!!
• Mini sessions sell out pretty quickly…usually within a few hours of posting. Because of the demand, sessions must be secured with full payment at time of booking. Payment is non-refundable (if you are sick or experiencing some sort of emergency, we will be sure to turn your payment into a credit that you can use with us down the road).
• Mini Sessions are not intended for large parties, but rather for individual families.
• If you would like to use the mini session as an opportunity to capture a little one alone (which is more than ok with us… we love capturing beautiful kiddos and babies!), please ensure that your little one is 6 months or older as we will not be able to support a baby that cannot sit up on their own in this type of setting as we can in the studio.
• As usual, I’ll have a few fun prop options on hand (my red chalkboard frame, along with some rustic inspired holiday signs).
• Last year, there were card options that came with your session. Due to some added expenses this year with our location rental, I am unable to include cards as part of the mini session package. However, you can purchase beautiful holiday cards at www.mpix.com starting at just $18 a pack!
• If you mention that you are a mini session client, you will receive $1 off admission to the “Wake-up in the Barnyard” program put on that morning at the farm… it is pretty fabulous, esepcially for little ones! There is also free admission to the farm/museum on October 12th!
• As always, your print release restricts printing your digital files at any non-pro photo lab (Walmart, Target, CVS, etc). Mpix.com is always THE best place to print outside of your photographer.. and really is super affordable!
• We will be having a HUGE canvas sale, just like last year in November! 🙂 Get ready to deck out your walls with your beautiful mini session images!

How to Book:

Booking is very different this year! 🙂 Last year, I had a slue of emails storm in as the announcement went up and it became difficult to assign times based on first come first serve. This year, all booking will take place online this fabulous little portal that I set up just for mini sessions! Visit the website below and select your desired time. If someone else is already trying to book that time and selected it before you, the system will let you know that it is in someone else’s shopping cart. While checking out, your session will be held in your cart for 15 minutes before placing it back into the open schedule, so be sure not to select a time and then walk away before checking out! Once you select your time slot, the system will then bring you to a portal in which you can pay online via paypal. You DO NOT have to have a paypal account to pay! Simply select “pay with debit or credit” and check out with any debit or credit card (I triple checked this the other day on paypal… look lower on the page if you can’t find this option). Once completed, you will recieve a confirmation email from the system letting you know that you are booked! I will then follow up with an email in the next 48 hours or so. But rest assured, if the system tells you that you are booked, you have secured your spot!
