Alyssa and Nathan held their marriage ceremony outdoors at the beautiful Clouds Hills Museum before celebrating with family and friends at the stunning Aldrich Mansion. I had a blast celebrating with these two, both doctors in the middle of completing their residency programs! Here is what Alyssa had to say about thier big day!
Q- What detail did you love or treasure the most about your wedding?
A- We treasure the love and support of our friends and family the most. It’s funny how you can spend so much time stressing over all these little details that in the end – don’t really matter at all. What I will always remember and treasure is how my bridesmaids were there for me throughout the whole day, taking care of me and making sure I had the best day of my life. I will always remember the beautiful words of Nate’s dad and my uncle as we stood on the terrace overlooking the ocean. And I will always treasure the moment Nate’s family accepted me as their daughter and when my family accepted Nate as their son.
Q- If you could pick one moment from your entire day to be your favorite, what would it be?
A- That’s tough because the whole day was magical. Nothing can really beat the moment we first saw each other as I walked down the aisle. It was amazing to look around and see all the most important people in our lives there supporting us. The garden was so peaceful and I just remember feeling the happiest I had ever felt.
Q- What was the inspiration behind your wedding?
A-The wedding was really inspired by the Aldrich itself. We loved all the beautiful details, architecture and charm. We wanted the decor to match the natural elegance of the mansion with gold, cream and white as our color palette. Most importantly, we wanted to create an atmosphere in which people could let lose, party and dance the night away… because our ultimate goal was for our guests to have fun!
Q- What advice would you offer to our future brides and grooms?
A- I would advise future brides and grooms to take time to enjoy each other on the wedding day. Even if it’s just for a few minutes – step back and take in the moment because it will be over before you know it. And don’t rush off to the honeymoon the next morning – sleep in, snuggle and have a nice breakfast!
