Alex and Chad had a gorgeous wedding celebration with a classic vintage feel at The Glen Manor House last month. I loved photographing all of the special details Alex and Chad planned for and had so much fun working with the two of them. Here is what the Bride had to say about the couple’s special day!
Q.What was your inspiration behind your wedding?
Alex – “The location and style of the Glen Manor House drove the inspiration behind all details of the wedding from the color palette to flowers and place settings, wedding dress, you name it. The vintage and elegant style of the house/grounds made the rest of the details and theme fall into place.

Q. If you could pick one moment from your entire day as your favorite, what would it be?
Alex- “After all the planning and focus on the reception, our favorite moment from the day was standing up at the altar facing each other during the ceremony holding hands. It was the only time that everything was still, and it felt like it was just us up there getting married, a pleasant reminder that the wedding is not only about the reception.”

Q. What detail did you love or treasure the most about your wedding?
Alex- “It’s hard to pinpoint a single detail as so much work went into everything from ceremony programs, table menus, to bridesmaid dress color, to finding the right frames for table numbers, and the right linens and centerpieces, welcome signs, etc. Seeing it all put together as desired made it all worthwhile. But the best details were the unexpected ones, like the moonrise over the Sakonnet River, or the surprise firework display! “
Q. What advice would you offer to our future brides and grooms?
Alex – “No matter how much planning you do, or how detail obsessed you get, everything will not go as planned. Remember what you are really celebrating!”
