So if you followed my old blog, you know that Project Mom is my attempts to keep my child at the forefront of my camera despite how busy life or the business may get. My original goal was to work on my skills while photographing all things mom related. It has been a few weeks since my last project mom post… oh how time can fly. My baby turned ten months yesterday…. TEN MONTHS! He is crawling like a mad man, eating like a real man, and pulling himself up onto everything like a crazy man! The head bumps and bruises are just about unavoidable at this stage. And then at the center of this active little boy is this incredibly sweet little cuddler, who knows just when to lay his head on your shoulder with a sweet back pat (he has been back-patting us with his tiny hands since he was 4 months…) and adorable little sigh… Can you tell how in love I am? I could just babble on and on and on about him…

This is my newest prop. Fresh from the antique store, I took my boy outside just minutes after it arrived home and stuck him in it…. naked of course! I am wanting to blow this one up to a 20×30 for a super cool frame that I just purchased from the Organic Bloom (more on this later…) and can’t decide between B&W or color. What are your thoughts? Which is your favorite?

Shot with my 5D (I’m totally a Canon girl now…) 50mm lens (still my favorite for portraits even with my new L glass… you just can’t beat that yummy background bokeh) at 1.6. I unfortunately shot this at a ridiculously low shutter speed and evenly ridiculous high ISO for outdoor shooting… I really have to learn to pay attention to my settings despite how “in-a-hurry” I may be. Regardless, the 5D has amazing noise control… shooting this at 800 ISO is seriously not even close to an issue with this camera body. Love.
