Sophia + Edward’s Wedding | Castle Hill, Newport RI

Sophia and Edward’s Castle Hill Inn wedding was just dreamy. From the lighthouse backdrop, to the elegant decor, and even the cloudy overcast day. There was something extra romantic about this festivity. Of course Sophia was beyond stunning in her Pnina Tornai gown from Kleinfelds and her custom initialed Jimmy Choos. Edward was beaming to see his bride at their first look and they embraced for so long with the sweetest reactions. It was a perfect afternoon!

Q- If you could pick one moment from your entire day to be your favorite, what would it be?  A- Without a doubt, the first look. Looking back, this was the only one on one (with a camera and video crew of course lol) time we had. I never knew how important this moment would be until it happened. This is when it all sunk in for us. We were actually getting married that day!!! It is such a surreal moment. I went from not understanding why couples do first looks, to never wanting the moment to end.

Q-What was your inspiration behind your wedding? A- Simple elegance. That is the best way to describe the vision I had for our wedding. I didn’t want any harsh colors or anything too over the top. I wanted it to feel as effortless but elegant as possible. I wanted to base the whole vibe off of the blush 30 foot farm table runner. I wanted everything just to flow. It was something so simple that just tied everything together.

Q- What detail did you love or treasure the most about your wedding? A- Definitely having our own mini sweetheart table. We kind of used it as a place to just sit and relax, even if it was just for a few minutes. It was awesome to look around at all the amazing people that showed up for us that day. Seeing everyone getting along and enjoying themselves made our day.

Q- Would you change anything if you could? A- Other than wishing it was an hour longer… I wouldn’t change a thing! I honestly couldn’t tell you if anything was not as I had planned.  All the silly little details that kept me up at night for weeks didn’t matter that day. What mattered most was having the absolute best night with all the people we love most.

Q- What advice would you offer to our future brides and grooms? A- Make sure you take the time to let it all sink in. Take a few minutes with your husband or wife, and enjoy the moment! Oh yea, and eat! I heard this over and over and over before the day, and ended up eating donuts for dinner at 11pm! You get so excited, everyone wants a picture with you, and food is the last thing on your mind!
