My boy and his birthday cake | Project Mom

This post is long overdue. I have been anxiously awaiting the day that I finished sending out all of Sam’s birthday party thank-you cards, since I was using some of the images from his cake smash on his card, to post this adorable little session we had together. Unfortunately, we have been crazy busy and this momma waited almost 6 weeks to get out thank-yous… that’s not good etiquette is it? Its a good thing the card was cute… 😉

Oh my sweet Sam… you have no idea how much your mommy and daddy are crazy in love with you. You are the topic of nearly every conversation. Mom and Dad literally fight over who gets to rock you to sleep at times. You give the most amazing open mouth slobbery kisses and have the sweetest little talking voice as you say “hi” to just about everyone that walks by. You are so tender and so loving. You kiss the picture of every baby that you see as you joyfully shout “baaaaaby!… including the container of stoneybrook yogurt that you have every single day… you love that picture the most! You growl like a man thanks to daddy and love to talk thanks to mommy. You love to dance while mommy plays the piano and your drum sticks are your favorite toy. You could sit and read books with us for hours… your favorite is the one about toad building that road up on a hill… we usually read that one at least 4 times before bed every night… mommy even has it memorized at this point for you. Sometimes we recite it in the bathtub and you smile so big! You are simply amazing. Amazing. I couldn’t have asked God for a more incredible little boy. We are so thankful that he gave you to us to take care of. We love you way more than you could ever imagine. Perhaps one day when you are grown and you have a child of your own, you will understand just how crazy we are about you….
