Whitney and Chris began dating in the 8th grade! They have one of those classic highschool sweetheart stories and I was so honored to be able to capture this most important day in their lives. I loved watching them interact together, smile and dance together… There was so much joy!
Q- What advice would you offer to our future brides and grooms? A- Take multiple moments to look around the room and take everything in. When you’re getting ready, when you’re standing at the altar and all during the reception. It goes by so fast and you’re pulled in so many different directions during the wedding you don’t realize how much you can miss.
Q– If you could pick one moment from your entire day to be your favorite, what would it be? A– One moment to pick is hard! I would have to say the first look would be mine. Seeing Chris for the first time was the most nervous I’ve been since we were kids! Chris’s favorite moment would be the first look and his best man’s speech. Ryan is not a public speaker as we all noticed, but because his speech was so genuine, so funny and so emotional, that is what made it so special for Chris.
Q- What was your inspiration behind your wedding? A- The inspiration behind our wedding was really being on the water. We wanted to capture the feeling of being captivated by the surroundings the venue provided. The color palette I picked was inspired by matching the view of the sunset at Belle Mer. That’s where all the champagnes, metallic pinks and golds came in. I think it tied everything together nicely.
Q- What detail did you love or treasure the most about your wedding? A- Everything! But if I have to get specific I would say the flowers and how they matched so well with the color palette. Every person I spoke to during and after the wedding said they could not believe how beautiful everything was. I’m sure the gorgeous weather and sunset we had that day helped too. 🙂
